Michael Kors Wonderlust Fragrance Shoot

Gigi Hadid Michael Kors Wonderlust Fragrance

Last June Turks and Caicos Productions and North Six Productions welcomed back photographers Inez and Vinoodh to Providenciales to shoot the Michael Kors Wonderlust fragrance campaignMichael Kors, the man himself arrived on set and the serious tone took an unexpected turn when he donned a retro swim cap (borrowed from the prop table) for a laugh.  Lovely to have some lightheartedness from one of the biggest names in fashion!

It was a massive crew that came together locally and from abroad for the weeks work.  It is an incredible advertising campaign, not just for the perfume, but for the Turks and Caicos Islands.  Our sand isn’t quite this pink, but our waters are certainly this crystal clear and blue!

It is a small world after all. Here are a few of my favorite props in action.  Image below via Elle

We  shot at the beautiful Amanyara resort on the northwest point of Providenciales.  This area is ideal for viewing sunset, as demonstrated by the below behind the scenes photo from the beachfront villa.

Khaya; 4 Bedroom Leeward Canal Home Real Estate Opportunity

Khaya aeriel view of land parcel in proximity to the leeward channel and open ocean

After designing Fleur de Lys, Acajou, and Cotton House, all homes of traditional Caribbean architecture and interiors, our time to build contemporary Caribbean has finally come.  Millworks have always been a distinguishing factor in our builds, and Khaya will be no different.  Our primary business, TC Millwork, will be providing all of the woodworks; cabinetry, interior and exterior doors, and built-in furniture.  Millworks will primarily be built of African Mahogany, or Khaya, a genus of seven species of trees in the mahogany family and hence the name of the home.   Native stone will be another key feature within the interiors, balancing the sleek dark wood with brightness and texture. Read more about the unique location and benefits below.

This contemporary pre-construction home lies on a west facing canal lot in the prestigious Leeward development on the northeast point of Providenciales.  Well reputed as one of the most affluent, safe, and attractive neighborhoods, the home is walking distance to the International School and Blue Haven Marina and amenities. Only a short distance drive to Leeward Highway, the location is well appointed for either full time residents or short term visitors.  With 101’ft of canal frontage to the west, 5 minute access to the Leeward channel to the North, and a flamingo frequented wetland to the south (pictured below), this parcel is a water lovers paradise.

The home will showcase local materials, native stone feature walls and indigenous landscaping. Mahogany doors, ceilings, custom cabinetry and interior design to be provided by TC Millwork Ltd.  Quality local contractors will complete the project, scheduled to complete in spring of 2019.  With close proximity to the best yachting, diving and island hopping, the home is minutes to world famous beaches via boat. Leewards waterfront properties maintain excellent value and are becoming increasingly scarce opportunities.

Tropical Imaging and I teamed up again for another great shoot at Ocean Club Resorts.  I look forward to these shoots every year as they are a couple of the friendliest resorts on island with the most helpful staff.  If you are looking for a reasonably priced, casual, and perfectly located place to stay in Providenciales, look no further. Check out at the fresh facelifts in a few of the units!  We will be back soon to photograph the new balconies and other renovations.

I had the opportunity to cast some of our beautiful local babies for this client.  Evan, the precious pictured above, thanks to her mommy being a photographer and a laid back awesome mom at that, got to spend quite a lot of time with us on set.  Nothing like a newborn to steal the show!

Aisla was called in last minute. Luckily she fit the clothes perfectly and was such a sound sleeper that she didn’t move a muscle when the stylist smeared the frosting on her face and hand for this first birthday snooze shot.

It’s hard work being a baby model!  Luckily we had booked a few local nanny’s, my very own Nenette was nicknamed the baby whisperer after she lullabied eight babes back to back into dreamland.

HGTV A Caribbean Life

Last February Turks and Caicos Productions welcomed HGTV back to the Turks and Caicos Islands for a month to film three episodes for their Caribbean Life series.  For those of you in the US, you can view the episodes here.  I have yet to watch, must try when I am back on the mainland, but I am certain there is some amazing Turks and Caicos footage thanks to all the B-roll lists!

About Left/Right Inc:
The principals of Left/Right, Banks Tarver and Ken Druckerman, both
spent untold years on the front lines of documentary and reality production,
but fate — and a mafia princess — would bring them together. They first
joined forces as showrunners on the hit series Growing Up Gotti for A&E.
The premiere episode of Gotti received one of the highest ratings in the
network’s history, and was chosen as one of the 10 best shows of the year
by The New York Times — the only unscripted series to make the list.
Following this successful collaboration and the production of nearly thirty
episodes, Ken and Banks decided to get out of the freelance game and to
formalize their partnership by creating Left/Right.
Seven years and over 300 hours of television later, the partners can point
with pride to a diverse client base and a ridiculously eclectic mix of projects
that gives meaning to the company name: our projects span the creative
spectrum from Left…to Right. Past and present productions range from
This American Life, the Emmy award-winning television adaptation of the
popular public radio show (for Showtime)…to Mob Wives, the breakout hit
series for VH1 about a group of women who are married to the mob…to
Small Town Security (AMC), the surreal and stranger-than-fiction comedy
series about a family business like no other, to Hawaii Life (HGTV), the
highly-rated and highly-addictive real estate series that forces viewers to
ask themselves why they haven’t yet moved to Hawaii.
Whether you pronounce it ‘Ca-RIB-bean’ or ‘CARIBB-ean,’ one thing’s for
sure, island living is where it’s at! With the success of HAWAII LIFE,
HGTV now brings you the adventurous people who believe that ocean
breezes, white sandy beaches and the sounds of steel drums aren’t just for
the holidays but rather a place to call home. CARIBBEAN LIFE follows the
stories of everyday people who are packing up their regular lives and
diving into the warm waters of the Caribbean and the real estate
companies that help make this island-living a reality.
