Wed Day – Stephanie and Andy

Last month I posted about the styling I did for the wedding of stephanie-and-andy and asked readers to stay posted for more pro photos to come from brilliant.  Not only do I have a few photos from their big day, but I also have a teaser from their sail provo boat trip aboard the 52ft Arielle.
There is no better way to enjoy Turks and Caicos azure seas then out on the open water.  What a great way to enjoy the time with family and friends.
Speaking of friends, Stephanie is lucky to have these sweethearts.  Each and every one of them were wonderful to be around.
The private elevated beach at footprints on the beach villa makes a beautiful platform for a wedding.
These floating lily lanterns needed to be photographed at just the right time to get these incredible reflections in the pool.  Nice job Brilliant!

Styling work featured on House of Turquoise

 Last night I took a browse on one of my favorite blogs, house of turquoise, and was pleasantly surprised to see some very familiar images on the site!  The author, Erin, has turned her obsession with turquoise into an online inspiration gallery for others who share a passion for the beautiful color in all it’s many shades.  I think most residents and visitors to the Turks and Caicos Islands would relate to some form of appreciation of the hue as well.  I posted images from our photo shoot, a collaboration with tropical imaging, last fall here and here.  Here are some of my behind the scenes photos of the truly amazing, Amazing Grace.

The arrangement created for the far wall featuring a large, woven texture framed mirror which helped contain the grandiose depth of the room.

Mother of pearl embellished pillows helped add a glint of reflection and texture to the room.
Normally I take several photos of each angle of a room and then edit which one is the strongest.  As you can see, every angle of this spacious, airy bedroom is photogenic.
A pair of chairs adorn the elegant staircase from a birds eye view.
A vignette created for the master bath.  Erin, here’s a miniature dose of your robins egg blue and ocean blue as well as your . . . .

Point Grace

Last week tropical imaging and I wrapped up an amazing shoot for Point Grace.  I was thrilled to be asked to style for this project as the property is quintessential Caribbean, one of the very few boutique hotels that stay elegantly true to their roots.  The tropical imaging photo and video crew and I met beforehand to brainstorm ideas on how to capture this beautiful hotel as graciously as she stands in person.  Here is the inspiration board I brought to the table.

Our intentions were to capture all the Caribbean charm that makes this boutique hotel unique from any other Turks and Caicos resort.  We are very pleased with all our efforts to bring a fresh perspective to Point Grace; see a small selection of the images here, the commercial here and the movie here.   My gratitude goes out to the lovely hotel staff who were accommodating to all our needs, to our gorgeous local models, and to Andrew, David, and Preston of the Tropical Imaging team.  I adore working with you all! 

Amazing Grace Photo Shoot

    I was pleased as pie when I was asked in September to style for a shoot at the gorgeous Amazing Grace.  I had met the lovely owners many years ago and had fallen in love with the house when I scouted the property for Turks and Caicos Productions.  It had been over a year since I had last visited so it was a great pleasure to spend some time on site.  The architecture references traditional Caribbean style, which I’m known to fancy. I adore that many of the details; the louvered shutters, the door and window hardware, the powder room nestled between beach and pool, and all the infinite repetition of whitewashed wood, reflect that great tradition.  To see more photos or inquire about booking, visit Turks Villas.
